Electric Heating Elements
Kanthal is the world’s leading manufacturer of silicon carbide heating elements. Factories and offices are based at Perth in Scotland and São Paolo in Brazil. Sales and Technical support functions are provided directly from the manufacturing operations, in their home markets, or via Kanthal subsidiary Company or Agent in all international markets.

Kanthal GLOBAR elements are used in applications ranging in temperature from below 600°C up to 1600°C (1110–2910°F) in both air and controlled atmospheres, although the type of atmosphere used will determine the maximum recommended element temperature.

As there are no standard sizes and shapes of the heated products, and no standard dimensions in furnace designs, Kanthal GLOBAR elments are available in a wide variety of sizes and geometrics – customized to meet your specific product, process and furnace criteria.

Kanthal GLOBAR SiC elements may be mounted either vertically or horizontally, and as the material remains rigid, even at the maximum operating temperatures, no special supports are required.

Advantages of GLOBAR SiC Electric Heating Elements:
  •  Economical, dependable, clean, quiet and safe
  • Enable considerable savings in furnace construction costs
  • Simplified maintenance: Quick replacement of elements, minimizing downtime
  • Efficiently handle a wide range of products and atmospheres
  • Wide range of temperature
  • One of the highest hot:cold ratios in the industry
  • Enhanced structural integrity for superior element performance
